Chevelle 1/32?

Postby olddude13 » Sun Jan 13, 2019 10:01 am

Did any one ever make a 1965 66 67 Chevelle slot car or body, maybe even a model kit?
Thanks

Ok, David Reinecke (RMS Resins) used to make a very nice resin body. Unfortunatly he developed an allergi to resin and had to finish that buisness. I don't know if he passed the molds on to somebody, but he is on this forum so i guess he will reply to this.
That is all i know. Happy hunting.

Oh, nhdungeonracer beat me to it.

Carrera makes or use to make a Chevelle. Not sure of the year of the car. I will try to post picture.
Car looks like it is set up for drags with the high rear end and big tires. LEB hobbies or eb-y

There is a resin 73 body on ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-32-RESIN-197 ... :rk:8:pf:0
The carrera is a 1970, quad headlight. It's jacked up with flames and pro stock hood scoop.

If it isn't too much nostalgia for him, you should talk to David Reinecke. He has a long, long history with the love of Chevelles. My aunt had a '65 SS 327. When she traded it for a '67 Camaro SS, the Chevelle had never been over 70mph. She sold the Camaro to my cousin's new husband who was an idiot who jacked up the rear end and slammed it into a phone pole in a week.

The wealthy boys at my school got cars for High School graduation, and all but three got brand new '69 Chevelle Malibu SS 396. Most beautiful cars Chevy ever made for my money. I dated a girl who had a yellow convertible. I am not entirely sure whether it was her or the car that turned me on more. It was close.
