Interesting idea, Tom. It's got some merit, for sure. It probably still keeps the field tilted toward NSR, though, because their advantages come from more than just the motor. The chassis has a lot to do with speed, and it's a lot easier to get an NSR running smoothly down the track than it is to slap an NSR motor in a Carrera, for example, and get it running smoothly down the track.
Let's keep that one in our bag of tricks for the future, but for now, we really need to keep things from tilting toward NSR so we can keep things interesting for the builders. We need a broad range of cars that can be successful, and the benchmark racing appears to do that.
Also, we need to come to a decision on this class quickly so we can nail down the other classes, and give builders enough of an opportunity to build their cars. :grin:
