Flyslot Daytona Prototype Issue

Postby rperry240z » Tue Nov 27, 2012 4:50 pm

I just purchased Flyslot Daytona Prototype and it's a "rattle trap". I have several of the earlier Flyer versions with the white motor and they are nice running cars. This one the Brumos Porsche version with the Black motor is noisy and vibrates like crazy. So is this normal for this newer version or just a fluke ? Thanks

My issues were cured with adding a bead of hot glue on each side of the motor.

Also check the bushings, might be spinning in the mount.

Thanks Harry. After further investigation turns out the pinion is loose and damaged. So I found another plastic 9 tooth gear but had to file it down to make the tight clearance with the drive gear. This black motor is much slower than the white can in the Flyer versions. Over all very disappointed in the quality of this car. ;)

Well, at least you fixed it. With all the "changing" Fly (Flyslot) is going through, I am sometimes surprised they still bring more out.
