1.You need to save your old click type ink pens to get the springs out of them.
2. You need a piece of heat shrink tubing that just fits the spring
3. a piece of coat hanger or mechanics wire or any bendable metal that fits thru the spring.
Put heat shrink over spring,put wire thru the spring and bend to suit your project.
heat with a lighter or heat gun till you get the tubing down to the size of the spring.
Pull out the wire,pull out or unscrew the spring (sometimes you cant save the spring) with needle nose pliars
And there you have a nice radiator hose or in this case,a driver forced air intake that stays in the shape you bent it! And if you want the same look as the new carrera charger has on it,slide a piece of brass square tube up to the end of the spring,and cover it with shrink tube as well,now you have a square mount at the front of your vent.
There are many different colors of shrink tube,so you can get the color you might want,or paint them.
Looks like mini dryer vent tubing when finished.
