This will need to be done before fitting the motor to set up your gear mesh. You will need to take about .040 off the backside of your ring gear. i do this with a sharp x-acto blade,you need not be perfect,as the gear may need to be sanded slightly to assure final gear lash. i save this cut off piece to use as a thrust washer on the load side of the rear axle.This step is out of sequence,but its something to do while your solder job cools.
