On my last trip to Sacramento, I picked up a “white body†Scale Auto Jaguar XKR GT2. With limited spare time, it has taken me a while but the project is finally completed. I have not yet decided whether or not to mount the wing. It would make the car more realistic but the high weight would impact handling. In testing without the wing, the car is about .1 second per lap slower than its GT1 counterparts. The chassis, a Scholer and motor, Falcon 7, were the same used for my Porsche 962 (legal for our GT1 class). It is not surprising that the Jaguar is a bit slower – it is quite a bit taller than other GT1 cars including the 962. Below are a few images.
