Modified Mustangs (plus 1)

Postby sadco racing » Sat Jun 28, 2014 8:06 pm

Inspired by Vintage24's build a little while back I dug the two ponies out of my scrap plastic heap to try my hand at the modifides. I'm tickled with how they turned out. The 49 is a series class champion here in town. The 7 is getting close. Sitting on H&R adjustable chassis, Protracks all the way around, MT-5 motors with 10-26 gearing. Some great door to door racing on a Blue King.

Plus 1, built this gem and my 12 year old grandson hauls the mail with it, he improves every week.

(Dunno why the pics resized when I added them ??? Click on the x and they come up)

All three of these would be great running (and looking) on Dundee Speedway!!

Haven't gone in this direction, but you are making it very hard not too!!!

Three great looking race cars! If I had to choose a favorite among them,it'd be the 49 Ford the grandson drives. I got to built one of them or a Mercury for myself.

The Mustangs are wild.. never seen anything like that the way you have the front fenders cut..
They look great!

Those look great - they have that tough low-slung vintage asphalt modified stance.

Very cool.

Wow.. Those are all really nice. The first Mustang is really nice.. The orange Mustang just *POPS*! Fantastic looking! And the third car.. Looks just like an old race car past it's prime. Just please don't leave it in a field somewhere to be forgotten!

Great looking trio you have there and thank you for sharing...
