What a week! Recovering from the fun in Chicago, it is clear I need to get busy.

Need to finish the MG Proxy car.

Ready to route the gains for the Midmo Makeover :)

Plus have some chassis parts and such for more dirt burner work. On top of that, the GTO project needs attention. It might be time to really try my own chassis for the fun of it.

Last week I moved back up to my slot attic track after a summer hiatus. :violin: I had only had one half braided previously and had been using it with copper tape in the recess of the other half. I now have the braid completed and can go back to working my landscaping. I started another project yesterday too. I am putting a Slot.it Chaparral chassis under a Monogram Lola T70 body. We have some rainy and snowy weather predicted so it looks like I will have some play time to accomplish these projects.

You think you have projects. My friend I have more than I will probably ever finish. I usually start with good intentions, but always seem to hit a snag somewhere along the way. I'm about to give up on the fender louvers on the DTM Mini, and just go with the ones in the hood. Who would have thought something so minor would be such a PITA. :D
I'm also in the process of building a chassis for the Jaguar Type D. You should try building one Harry. It really does give you a sense of accomplishment to see it run around the track. It doesn't have to be fancy to work well either. ;)

Whew. Good to hear because fancy I am not. I see the work some artists accomplish, the chassis ends up being more beautiful than the rest of the car.

The problem is people ask: "Show the chassis please" and I am not sure I will want to. :lol:

Watching people searching for kind words to use to describe the slop you created is a hoot. Slot car guys are the best kind of people, and they try so hard to be complimentary as a way of encouraging you, and it does work, I absolutely believe in it, but there's a sadistic little kid in me somewhere who enjoys the struggles people go through to be nice. Then, when you actually learn to get it right, they are even more encouraging. Ya gotta love this hobby. You build crap, and people are excited and encouraging that you tried. You get better at it, and they praise you even more!

Hello.. and its been a while..

It is Awesome to check out everyones new builds and tracks... Always amazed at what you guys do here on HRW.. to the car building and racing events.. Great stuff

Someday I hope to get back into the action...But this second Cancer thing with its hard hitting treatments and too much work..really messed with my playtime.. ( it really hits ya )

I got the new Freeport Oval just sitting in a pile..its been like that for a while now..and really dont know when I can get back to it..its just too big of a project right now..

What I should do is just build some runners.. nothing special ... just basic oval stuff..I know I got piles of project parts.. haha ... Its just tough to do right now..
