Thanks Jeremy. I might be busy though. I'm talking to the owners of the Calabogie Motorsports Park about replicating their 3.05 mile circuit in scale for their club house. Not sure where it will go, but interesting to think about.

Thanks Embs. I'm quite happy with it. Unfortunately I know the first thing that's going to go when it hits the track is the windscreen. Same problem with the George Turner MG and most of the others. Everything else is going to be quite bullet proof or easily repaired. That's one of the reasons I've decided to attach the radiator stone guard to the chassis rather than the body.

Peter, that is superb. You are doing just what I would like to do. Pre-war GP is just not popular around
here, but when I get the other, more popular projects done, I intend to build some of my own. Some of
my fondest memories are of the Bugatti club's international meet up in Maine. I got to see, ride in, and
even tinker with some very historic machinery. Most normal mechanics would not want to spend their
vacation time working on cars, but when Bugatti was the featured marque at the VSCDA Fall Festival,
I was in seventh heaven.

You could try adjusting an Immense Miniatures Tazio to fit. There is a non-descript driver head that would suit if you don't want Tazio. But, I suppose it would take a lot of fiddling to do.

Oh man, that is awesome! Wonderful modelling skills there but just one question if I could.

In the close up photo of the cockpit, regarding the suspension, did you paint the springs etc. with black and then build up colour or is it a black wash over the top?

The springs are done with a Humbrol gun metal colour. Once they were dry, I rubbed them with my thumb which highlights the ridges and tones down any gloss. I then brushed them with Gun Metal Tamiya Weathering Master and a hint of Burnt Red. Bronze bushings were coloured with a liquid gold pen marker.

Thanks for the tips, Peter. Just about have my workbench cleared (finally) and the next two projects will be 1/24th scale Alfa 158 and Lago Talbot G.P. cars. The kits have been doing the rounds for decades, I bought mine back in the '90's and all the box info and kit instructions are written from somewhere in Eastern Europe but I got the gist.

Off to the hobby shop to get me some Tamiya paints...

Shannonville was one of my favourites. I fondly recall a post race run on the 401 between Shannonville and Kingston that took us just over 15 minutes. I was in my 4.2L E-type running against three friends in a V-12 rag top, a modified 914-6 Porsche and a Ferrari 308. We would never get away with that these days and were insane to do it in the first place.
