Corvair for Dundee Speedway - Buttoned up and turning laps!!

I remember seeing that Corvair at Wanneroo raceway in the mid 'to late 70's. That thing was an absolute weapon. It was at a round of the Australian Sports Sedan Championship, Jim Richards was there in (I think) the the Big M Falcon Hardtop and Tony Edmonson in the Alfetta.
They were about the toughest sedan race cars I ever remember seeing (or hearing) I think the Corvair was punched out to nearly 6 litres by then.

Denny sorry to threadjack you mate, but as soon as I saw your thread, I thought about that Corvair Fabio mentioned.
Any how nice looking car and I like the Yellow, glad to see it fits straight on to the pioneer chassis. Thanks guys for the memories.

If anyone else has build a Corvair add the pictures to the thread, the more the better!

Mark, the chassis is a pioneer, and other than shortening the axle width front and rear by taking two of the three washers out on either side, that was it for tinkering!!

My kind of build, since I can use the chassis for future builds as well.

Boyz worked on the Corvair over the weekend, and added lots of sponsor and other decals, will get a picture off shortly!!
