Nova T/A

Postby ListerStormGT » Sun Apr 06, 2014 7:49 am

My next project on the workbench is this 1/32 Monogram 69 Nova SS. I was finally able to grab one of these off Ebay a few months back, always wanted to get one of these kits and turn it into a T/A racer. Have it sitting on a Pioneer chassis but needs a little tweaking. Stay tuned...

Are you leaving it Black lee? That's looks Bad A*s already. I wasn't aware of this being a kit in 1/32, I'll have to put it on a hit list of must haves.

Thanks guys, still a long way to go on this one as the rear fenders will have to be widened a little to get the tires under them with this chassis. Going to try heating them up and using a spoon to flare them out a bit. If not I may try my hand at a brass chassis for it. Or if all else fails I could just flare out the fenders to make it look like this one? Yes, this one is going to stay black with some sponsor decals and roundels.

I can't wait to see how this one turns out!

I seen a dark blue '69-'70 Nova sitting at the gas station last night.

It was pretty sweet with the aluminum center line wheels on it.

Nice to see the 1:1 cars starting to come out of storage and cruising around now that Spring has finally arrived.

Selfish, but the more pictures on the flare build the better, been wanting to attempt that, and need more details before I feel brave enough to attempt.!!

Thanks!!

Not sure if I will do the flares on this or not. I may just try to keep the body stock as possible but you never know I might just get motivated enough to make the flares for it.

Lee, you have my undivided attention with this project. I have a RMS resin 69 Cuda that is in need of the same mod and I have no idea on how to go about doing it. I am intrigued by the heat and spoon idea, but.......uuhm that may not be the correct approach for me.
