It was a well set up car with some nice mods, lightweight 1/2 tray interior and some tuning, glued motor, trued PG rears and turned down fronts. It went like the clappers (Australian for fast), but being his old Race car had a few battle scars on the original Chaparral paint scheme.
It's going to be my new T/A race car so I did one more modification by separating the chassis from the rear bumper / valance and gluing it in place, getting some more float. (As per the RMS blueprint)
Then I decided to spruce her up a bit, with some new paint and some pioneer decals, my last "light switch" bonnet scoop and replaced the rear spoiler with a slightly taller one made from plasticard. I fitted a dry break fuel filler, to the boot lid (trunk) out of the scrap box.
Not a perfect paintjob but this ones made to race, I put Alan Moffat's name on the roof (just to wind up the Ford Boys). It's a complete fantasy paintjob.
Thanks to Paul for some great cars in the swap and I promise not to paint the Gurney Cuda (she's a shelf Queen) !!! There will be no more Camaro's from me (well for the time being) because Paul also sent me a white Ferrari Kit and I'll be doing that next. :o
