I think I should mention that whomever put those unnecessary labels all over it misspelled "laser" on the rear deck.

That paint marker is a good idea for the stripes. The red stripe decals that come with the model are a pain in the rear.

Looking good! I wish I thought about using the paint pen then driving myself nuts with the decals!

wow, that thing's gonna move right along with that jet engine in the back!

they used to add estes rocket motors to drag cars. that was always a trip. looks like it'd go right in there, maybe stick out a little.
it was tough to find them with a short enough duration. I used to know a guy, who burned down a strip mall that his track was in with one. we were more careful with ours.
