That came out great Harry, I now those are unusual colors for you, but I really like the gold accent stripe!

Thanks fellas.

Yeah, I saw the black and gold and thought why not? I was hoping they would work well together :)

Yes, the stripe is cheating. Good old automotive pin stripe!

That ended up looking rather spiffy!

Thanks for that body mounting tip. That's a mighty crucial step that I don't often see spelled out in builds, as though the mounting process is an innate ability held within all chassis builders except for me, or that the body magically sticks to a well-built chassis!

I like that dashboard too. Simple, but it works good enough.

Great build thread! The longer I explore this site the more info I am reading in an almost bottomless well of Slot racers expertise and advise. I am building a chassis for a Shotgun 40 Ford coupe and like your mounting system. I have used 1/4" square pine on lots of my cars. I glue it to the body with Goop. It holds really well, you don't have to mix it, and most importantly, you can peel it off if you need to.

Thanks sir, glad you are enjoying it.

The 1/4" pine is good, have done the same and you are right, it works great.
