I've been watching this all along, and although I can't be sure enough of being able to build one with so many responsibilities around here this time of year, I really like the way this is going and really wish I could do it. That body is the icing on the cake. Excellent work, Dave. Really shows outstanding skills and dedication. Keep it coming guys, I'm having fun with it by proxy.

WOW this post transformed into something else since my post on the first page...Shotgundave that mold making brought back memories of helping a friend out, back in the 90's. to develop rock climbing holds..We would make the master some times an actual rock, mount it to a board, build up sides, coat it all with something like mold release then pour in the flexible rubber mold material...

I have a question, what did you fill the inside of the body with and the bottom part, looks like silicone. Then you set on a board and fasten that clear box around it.

That is really a fascinating process Dave....What type of resin are you using? Is it a polyester or epoxy resin.....Could you explain the poor process, how do you adjust the 2 molds to insure an even thickness in the car body? I don't ever plan on doing this it's just intriguing...
