can it be fixed?

Postby Dundee Denny » Thu Jan 16, 2014 8:44 pm

The Boyz are puzzled how to fix this.

Any ideas on how to straighten this out?

Thanks, Dundee Denny

Theres probably a few ways to fix it. I would probably heat it up with hot running water & try & push it back. Then brace the inside with some wire or a paperclip straightened out. If it snaps while bending, you will need to glue it back together & reinforce.

That's what I would try first thing. Watch the areas where the plastic shows stress, the white areas, they will only bend so many times, then they will part, stressed on not.

Be careful, make sure the boyz tap the keg AFTER the work ok?

And yeah, ditto that warm water advice.

Is the glazing insert a good enough fit to push the body on to it after heating up?

Great advice Harry, about not tapping the keg until after the attempted fix!!!

Appreciate all the advice, Saturday will be the big day to see what happens!!!!
