Getting closer to squirting paint. :D But need to get body mounts made first.

Body mounts are done except for cutting to length which will happen after it's painted. Interior needs glued in first. And lead wire holder done. First attempt at doing it this way. More practice. :lol:





Back to the tumbler for four hours or so.

Shoot I wasted 6 inches of wire trying to get those little loops. :lol:

I had a lot of advise from one Dennis buddies out in So Cal when I got started. Still call him and bug him. Helped me bunches. He liked spending my money though when he told me what all I needed. :lol: Yes tumblers make them look lot nicer when done.

Chassis is finished ready for lube and final assembly. On to the body. May pull a late night on it and get it ready for paint tomorrow.

First round of color is on. Let it sit till tomorrow then wet sand with 1500. If all looks good then one more even coat. Then the pain begins with masking for the silver on detail stuff. Hopefully by the weekend it will be ready for final assembly.



This is what we are going for. Close to anyway. Not sure if I'm doing the wheels black or not. Time will tell. I got CBD Steelies for it.

Dennis I had a set of those and didn't care for them. So I traded some Banger dude ;) in So. Cal. for this. And I see that I should of looked at the Slotblog article before doing it my way. :lol:

The final coats are on. And came out pretty good. Now I am thinking of not painting the trim. Just dot the tail lights and front marker and add numbers. Afraid to screw it up with my unsteady hand trying to mask and paint the trim. :lol: Still not sure I want to paint the steelies either.
