I don't know much about tuning the Pioneers. The Camaro's seem to be a bit illusive. I'm glad to see somebody is getting them. :)

Other than changing to urethane tires out back, I don't do anything to my mine and they run just fine. I don't have the Camaro. The two that I have are notchback Mustangs. They look and run very similar to the Scaleys except that Jules had the good sense to not cast the valances as part of the chassis. If I had to choose between the two, and thank goodness I don't, I think the Pioneer would get my nod.

Are you running mags or no mags? For no mags...

Do you want it to look pretty or go faster? Buff down the front tyres by about 1.5mm in diameter. this will drop the front end and the guide will be fully in the slot. It rides too high but this was deliberate on jules part. Increase the front track so that the tyres are level with the fenders. Thats about a 4-5mm wider track at the front. The rear fenders can be lipped if you are really good with a soldering iron. This means you can increase the rear track about 4mm. Run the 13T pinion, no iff no butts. Grind bottom of interior flat to allow float. Grind all the way around chassis for float. Place about 5-7g of lead weight in front of motor. Or cut out motor cooling slat on the chassis. Place square of lead there. urethane tyres on the back. Lose weight from body anywhere you can!!

I think the Camaro is slightly narrower in track than the Mustang. It also weighs a few grams more. We have 4 Camaro club cars and they run pretty much the same as our 4 Mustang club cars. Maybe the Mustangs are a fraction ahead.

I sound like a broken record this morning, but scrap the guide system and install B-Nova/Slot.it AFTER you sand the fronts as suggested.

The guide is a weak link as it is in other brands. It is very loose and the connections are weak.

But I guess it all depends on how much more you want to invest.
