Peter, that is just too cool. Can you tell us about the lift and tire rack?

Dave,

The lift is a remnant of drip edge that I used on my own garage. The turned down bit where the water collects was just the right size for the tires and also had a little rise along the edge that would act as a rail so the car doesn't fall off. The hydraulic cylinder is a piece of brake line and the collar on the floor is a 1/4" washer.

The tire rack is fabricated from piano wire and will have a Dunlop sign hanging from the top.

Looks great.

Unfortunately I had to glue his arse to the seat so he wouldn't fly off in the corners.

A little set to photograph cars on is a very nice thing to have. Brings the cars to life. And it's usually easier to light than the track.

I like your figures too. I really must get myself some more.

Very, very cool (and realistic).

These make me that much closer to being in the car myself.

Great work!!

Fabulous setting for fabulous cars!

Just needs a bit of 1/32 muck and rubbish, and maybe a tyre pressure chart, and some curly-edged pin-ups on the walls(modest ones, of course).

Inspiration for us all.

David.

David

There is a lube chart over the work bench (corner just visible) and a period Singer Motors poster for the 1934 model year not visible in this shot. Tire pressure chart is a good idea.
