I always said I was going to get a couple of those Cougars, and I think I never got around to it. I never thought about asking for blems. One of these days...
That looks very promising. The Cougar in that era had real grace, real style. My Mustang from the same period was a poor country cousin by comparison. There was a girl in Memphis with a red convertible from that era. She was so-so (not a lot of personality), but that car was irresistible. She was a judge's red-headed daughter, so she was a little risky, but guys lined up to go out with her in that car. When the Beatles' "Baby You Can Drive My Car" got to be popular on AM radio, everybody snickered. After going through all the gearheads in town, she married a law school dink, big surprise.
