This was my first build. USAC midget.
Used to be a mini metro, ugliest car I ever saw.
Not the greatest detail ,but it's tough, gets raced hard and goes like a cut cat.
Made from the lid of an icecream tub, some plastic coated wire and the nose of a model plane.

My Pony Wars car was the first one I built. I have more than a dozen resins waiting to build now, but I have to wait until things settle down in 2014.

Greetings, I believe it was these. All are on EJS Hobby chassis. My wife got me the EJS Ferrari kit for Christmas a long time ago and I already had the two Listers in clear lexan and purchased two more chassis kits and built them all at the same time. Still hve the Ferrari the other two are long gone minus the chassis'.

The first serious custom was a Cobra coupe hacked together at least 15 years ago. Lindberg Cobra body, Hawk brass chassis back end, custom soldered front end, velcro body mounts. Bell drive red Mabuchi 16D, American Line 5 spoke magnesium wheels with silicone tires I cast myself. It's still around here somewhere.
The second offering was a Lindberg GT-40 with a full custom brass and wire chassis, same type red endbell drive motor, and AML mags. That one hasn't made it out of the primer stage, it's still gray. :D But it runs and I bring it out occasionally.

WOW, I still have this car. Remenber when the Carrera Corvettes first came out? Yes the red one with the black stripe on the hood. Everyone got 1, So I had to repaint mine, the red stripe is painted on. Still have the photos from way back then







now I have to dig that car out and up grade it with the right wheels
