I travelled a lot in a Singer Le Mans before I was born(!)-or so I've been told. I've also seen the photographs.
I think I also spent a lot of time participating in the pushing of it - thanks to the reliability of 40s British electrics!

I've been lucky enough to get Peter (S-T), to do me some wheels for the Morgan and for the BSA - just waiting for them to arrive.

I think the attraction of pre-war cars is that they are all individual, and accessible to someone who has a basic understanding of how a car works - not like modern cars with "no user serviceable parts" under the bonnet(hood).

Peter thanks for the kind remarks about the Morgan - coming from you it is praise indeed! I got some silicone and resin at the weekend. I'm just working up the courage to try it out. I think I'll have a trial run with an old Scalextric Mini first. It would be more than I could stand if I messed up and covered the Morgan body in a lot of slimy gunge that wouldn't set!

I wonder if I should paint my wheels the same colour as the body as well?

What do you think Peter?

Very neat method....I have printed a few grills and number plates myself but never domed a badge with epoxy.....files idea away for future reference.

It's dead simple. The toughest part is centering the punch on the image.

Greetings, very nice build. The badge tip is very useful. Been making headlights and such for some time like this. Never thought of doing a badge. Regards, John

Yes I saw your lights. An excellent idea which I am sure I will use in the future. Epoxy is a great material for either application. It flows well and dries clear as glass. It also provides some of the refractive qualities of actual glass.
