What was your first custom slot car?

The first custom car that I ever completed was the MGB Goosemobile:



The first car that I ever started is a Scalextric GT40 that is still in pieces on my desk. :lol:

My first custom slot car was a Fly Listerstorm GT painted in Gulf colors..Yes, hard to believe I know. :lol:

Great detail work on that one, David! That's one high-level starting point, and you're builds have just gotten better and better too. I wish my hands were that steady. I seem to get the shakes whenever I put a brush near a car! :lol:

DM- You've got a nice taste in cars. ;) Now I really feel embarrassed for having that GT40 in pieces for over a year.

ListerStormGT- Any photos of said car? I know that you've recently changed from the Gulf Master to Pitbull, but I'd love to see that car.

I really had to do some digging to find this old picture..lol The color blue was wrong but at the time I was happy with how it came out.

well my first this time around 1/32 was this beauty, I think I got the body from ebay. Has a brass flat pan chassis, and a old cox 1/32 guide, pop rivet heads for injectors, headers are from a diecast sprint car, motor is a pattos little ripper, wheels are 1/8" threaded vintage something, tires I don`t know, but they aren`t enough for that motor. It`s been hanging here in the rafters for about 7 years as others were built and pushed it away for it`s skankyness.. :snooty:

BrandX T/A resin kit from a resin caster that folded up shop about 10 years ago. It was my first foray into expanding my T/A field. Took a month to get paint on it due to prep work.

The good news is that it inspired me to go into casting ;)
