Shipping to Australia? Please help!

Hi Dickie,
Im looking at placing an order soon for some various small parts. Wheels, slotit gears, slotit pods & bnovas. Probably about 4 of each. I added 4 gears only to the order & it came to $40 for shipping. Im in Australia, Once I get my order together can you send it First class International or some other cheaper method. You guys get alot of praise on the forum for your good service & am happy to support you with my purchases. Just the shipping price has ruled me out. Hope you can help, besides I hear you guys are king of dum dums? I need to see what this fuss is all about!

PS - I can confirm exactly what I want later, just want to know if there if you can ship via first class for me? (or other cheaper method)

Hi Greg,

Unfortunately, our current situation with our e-commerce store doesn't allow for accurate shipping costs of 1st Class International shipping.

That said, if you (and this applies to any of our International customers) go ahead and place the order, and leave a note in the "comment" box that you would like us to ship 1st Class, we will do so and will refund the difference of the shipping costs.

If paying with PayPal, we can refund the money as soon as we process the order.

If paying with a credit card, we need to wait at least 24 hours for the transaction to clear before we can refund the money.

Most light packages (under a pound) cost about $13 to ship to Australia. Still not as cheap as we'd like it to be, but certainly way better that the $40 you got quoted for Priority shipping, eh? ;)

It has been awhile since we looked into the shipping costs in our e-commerce store. When we get a chance, we'll check into to it and see if they've many any updates to help us (and you).

Hi, ok thanks thats excellent. I just placed an order with you. So please send First class International. I left a comment in the comment box like you said. I had sent my order to the good Doc Reinecke for me to place so thats great I wont have to bother David now. Davids payment for this was Dum Dums so I hope you are not to upset man :)

For what its worth I have held off many time purchasing from SCC for this reason. Im sure there are other overseas people that have done the same thing. So it may be best you look into it & add in an option for first class if you can. Most online slot shops are able to send via this service.

Anyways thanks again for the great service. Im looking forward to recieving the order. Just hope I dont end up with 2 lots if David places the same order. :)

Yeah no Dum Dums for me! I suffer from migranes & I have most of my life, since I was probably 8-9. Over the years I learnt to just live with them. If I got one at work I used to just hang in there until the end of the day & fall in a heap at night. In my adult life I was getting at least 1 a week. If I got one it would take me a few days to get over it. So in my adult life for 10+ years I went to loads of doctors about it with all these fancy tests & they all said have a preventative medicine for the rest of your life. I declined & just lived with them hoping to work out an alternative way. Im to young to go on medicine, I thought! So I tried all different alternative medicines, all these diffenent potions & herbal mixtures, I had the plates on my head & neck moved around by a chiro. All a waste of time. One day I ate some flavoured rice crackers & got a migrane. A few days later I at some more, migrane again, few days later migrane again. See a pattern. So over a few years I was eating different foods to see if I would get a migrane. It was getting out of hand the different things I couldnt eat. So the decision was made, I now dont eat food which has Preservatives, artificial flavours or artificial colours. SO Im thinking Dum Dums will fall in that category. SInce the diet change I have not had a migrane & I feel FANTASTIC! After years of dealing with migranes I finally feel normal. The diet was tough at first as that rules out 7/8ths of the supermarket. I returned to the doctors & told them & they were amazed. My wife is on the same diet as she has a skin condition that has cleared up alot. My kids are on the same diet as well. They are not used to eating that sort of food & it makes them sick sometimes & they prefer to eat apples & oranges etc.

SOrry it was a bit long winded but thats the no DUm Dums for me policy. Feel free to send David a double helping on his next order. Hes the king right :)

See - Greg IS my salad buddy! I do admit though...I'll take Dum Dums. I like to leave them on people's desks at work...makes them wonder... ;)
