not to keep going on about it, but the '68 GT versions also deleted the chrome bar.
my Mom had a notchback 390 GT automatic in light metallic blue with a white 'C' stripe and the little turn signals in the hood (and no side bar). when you started it and put it in reverse with your foot on the brake, it would sometimes chirp the tires in the garage. it was a lot of fun when i got to borrow it.
