...get rid of your masters! I usually take the first good cast and put that in the box with my master in the event the master ends up breaking or something else. A few times I've forgotten though. This was worse; I purchased the Aurora 612p years ago for a song on eBay. I used it to repop the original and then I modified one for my full-kit casting. After doing all of this, I sold the original body again for a mint. Nice!

Except somehow I didn't keep the original pops for a master of the Aurora version. Ooops! Try getting one of these lately for less than a C-Note! Well, I finally lucked out and got one for $51.01 Whew! Now I can repop this one again and offer it. They make great cars and don't need alot of detail to look great on the track.

Sadly, the licensing folk at Yugo (the last and only employee) has refused to release the rights to do the car...rumor is that they don't want a slot car being more reliable.

Back in the 80's a car mag was doing a road test of the Yugo and decided to do a test. They left one parked in an urban area with a lot of gang activity and known for auto thefts, with the keys in it. A week later it was still there.

As a smalltime caster I have followed this rule so far and have a drawer of firsts and originals.

This is definitely an important rule to remember.

I have the Aurora McLaren and Ferrari bodies in my stash to copy at some stage.
The 612 is a great looking car.

GUILTY of selling my originals!!! I don't really try to sell many of my resins, so I just keep my best body from each one just in case I need another mold in the future, but sometimes I use them instead of making a new body (thats a no no). I doesn't really bother me to buy a high dollar master to make a mold and then after it comes out of the silicone to put it up for sale. I may regret it in the future but it allows me to try some interesting bodies I wouldn't be able to afford to build or run normally.
