I felt like I was fishing on this past Friday.
My chassis was on our track and I was testing it. The testing was going very well and the chassis was doing everything that I hoped it woule. It was extremely smooth and quiet, handing was excellent and the driver had the feeling that the car was an extension of his trigger finger. If you gave it more throttle, the car would slide a proportional amount.
While I was testing it, a couple of my retro racing compadres started to ask some questions about it. Of course we're all scratchbuilders. They kind of got excited. Then when I showed them that after the proxy race is complete, I have this really cool Cooper sports car body that simply slips right into place and I have one of hte DeBary Glen Sports Cars already built. That kind of put them into a mild frenzy. I do believe I have 'mined' a couple of more entries to the "Crystal Case Cover Proxy Race" at SCC!
More to follow.
