Too Many Group 5's?

I just love these Group 5 cars! I got hooked having seen them race in the 70's and 80's. Thanks to Racer Sideways for making it possible to race those monsters for real ... uhmm ... slotcars!

I have built up a small collection of various slotcar manufacturers.

OK this is not a real Group 5, but by far my favourite IMSA GTO! The Audi 90 Quattro:



A Scaley body on an HRS chassis of the BMW 3.0 CSL:



A real Racer Porsche 935K bodykit with some very different spares from the parts stash:



The Revell BMW 320i Turbo with a modified chassis to move the motor to the rear of the car:

My latest achievement! A Sideways Zakspeed Capri Turbo Gp5, but this time in the Jagermeister colours and a little bit of fantasy:

That's a nice collection there. I am looking forward to many of the Sideways cars myself. especially the Gr5. Stratos :)

Among others I have the Fly BMW M1 with the original sidewinder chassis that I modified with a slot.It orange endbell motor driving a slot.It spur gear with Slot.It set screw hubs and Paul Gage tires. I have the Sideways Lancia and am waiting for the release of the Sideways BMW M1 but I must say I prefer the body style found on the Fly version. My Sideways lancia, in my opinion, is a little over powered for the type and length of track I run on but otherwise it is fantastic.

Take a compact sedan, strip her down to almost nothing, give her twin turbos, several hundred horsepower, huge brakes and the ubber phat tires, what do you get? Motorhead Nirvana. Do the same to a slot car? Same result.

Those are Slotangle silicones. They also come in red, pink and black ...
