I watched the live video feed on Saturday night and I really like the way it can be used to showcase club racing for a *very small* but *very interested* audience. I think it has a lot of potential.

As far as my participation, the 45 ohm controller that was used was limited to an almost impossibly narrow band with a car like mine, and I could see it in the video feed.

I am not a good fit here. It makes no sense to run the midget when it can't be controlled. It just tears up the car and wrecks the competition.

Bibster, please pull my car and mail it back to me - Don't send it along to the next venue.

I think this was very cool and the video feed really brought it up to another level, so great job - I bet it will be imitated - Congrats.

VIntage, I hope you are going to do a simple motor change and stay with the group. Your build and car are amazing. I think it was said in the beginning that the track voltages are going to be 10 and 12 and the controllers being used are parmas 45 ohm....since that was what the guys have. Not sure what you had in there but it sounds like a 16-d motor??? Cause I think motored right your build would have cleaned the field. Thanks for sharing your build as well and I have seen that it is already being duplicated by a fellow slot racer!

I'm with GTI on this one and I really hope that you'll reconsider. I'd even be willing to mail a vintage 15 ohm controller to Harry if you think it will help. I'm dissapointed with the results of my car as well and my absentmindedness led to my not changing the tires to urethanes as I had planned. However this experience has been so much fun and so much more than "who won what and how many points do you have"?

Let me know if you want me to send a controller. I have an old cox and I believe a MRC that will make your car easier to control. Your build is in a class by itself and I would hate to not have it as part of the grid.

You guys are using 45 ohm controllers? I think you would get better control of most cars if you switched to a lower resistance. On my home track I run at 9-10 volts and 45 ohms does not provide the proper range of control to even stock 18K motors. For that reason, I find that 15 or 25 ohms provided a much more usable power range. For higher rpm motors, like slot.it orange endbell ones, 15 ohms seems to work the best. I am using a pyramid power supply.

When I was racing my midget on our club's wood tracks at 12 volts, I used a DiFalco. Those tracks used either a pyramid supply or batteries.

Jeremy indicated from the beginning that he only had 45 ohm parmas to use. I think for the next Midget proxy, guys will either just build to the host track and equipment or perhaps send the preferred ohm controller along with the car.

Perhaps the next host, Harry, has a lower ohm controller or again, I'd be willing to send one of my vintage controllers to Harry to accomodate Vintage's car.

svanaken - First of all, complaining about someone's equipment is pointless and rude. He has what he has. He did state what he had. If it isn't good enough for you, then simply don't participate.

I certainly don't see where we have to allow controllers in the mail Paul. I don't want to be held responsible for that and it just adds more shipping costs and headaches.

Build your car given the specs at the tracks. Aim for a happy medium.

Trying to appease every single person in every detail will not happen. What if my Pyramid supply isn't good enough (which it is)? I sure am not going to hook up batteries.

This little event is supposed to BE FOR FUN. It was created simply for the fun of building and enjoying these types of cars. I think it was made very clear from the start.

I have a variety of controllers and pretty sure we can get your car to run just fine. I am sure the folks here would enjoy seeing your wonderfully done model.
