Just spent another 10 minutes working on the car and 5 minutes running it.
I removed some material on the bottom of the guide (it was hitting the bottom of the slot at certain spots around the track). I also removed some material from the front suspension thingie, where the axle meets the plastic. This way, I'm sure the front axle spins freely. I also put some oil on the front axle where it goes through the chassis.
From 6,892 seconds, I went down to 6,649 seconds on my track. I think it's the fastest lap so far on this track. As a reference, the fastest car from last year's CanAm proxy race qualification was Smokeio's with a time of 6,795 seconds, also on silicone Super Tires. Later, I'll try to replace the original rear wheels with CB Design F1 wheels. I'm pretty sure I can gain another tenth with those. Stay tuned!
