Homemade water slide decal help

I REALLY appreciate all the suggestions !!! I can't thank you enough !!

Following a couple slot car forums and all the people seem great ! I have even raced a couple times on a track in Florida (DeBarry Glen) after speaking with a person on these forums. I was honored to sign his slot car wall !
Decals were applied today with decent results. Am attempting to make a distinctive car for each of my 5 great-nephews. I've been going through my slot cars and am trying to figure which to paint.
I will post a few pics in a bit.

The paint is Rustoleum 2X and I coated the car with Future.
Very happy with the paint finish.

Roland....I use a brush. It is self-leveling so I am certain that nothing is dripping before I leave the car to dry.
All the cars that I have coated with Future still look great. Also...one one of the 2 commercial tracks that I race on have wall borders and the Future keeps the finish nice.
