Question,

I understand we will only have one Routed/Hybrid track, correct?
What is the thought on using the 'stock' long guide vs. the Red guide that comes with most Carrera cars.

I have a 2x8 ft 'Test' track, and my 458 seems to ok with some slight drag on the tighter turns. I was going to leave it as it's my first proxy on a mainly stock slot.

What is everyone's thoughts on guides? I kow we have the option to modify, but I am not sure it will be needed, at least not on Carrera track.

I have not run any cars with the red guide blade on my track, so I am not sure how well it would work. The stock black one is made that way to insure that the car goes through the LC's correctly. Carrera's LC's are opened electronically, but closed manually, with the cars guide. The problem would most likely be that your would change lanes but would not close the LC and the next car would also be forced to change lanes.

My track is the wood one. We never have problems with Carrera black guides as far as corners or the Carrera lane changers I used. However, as R/T said, smaller guides will sometimes fail to close the gate.

So, just to make sure I am not missing anything, it sounds like the normal black large guide is OK to be utilized for all tracks correct?

Your Pan Am proxy cars ran on the my track, as I recall, they had fairly large guides and did fine.
