Talk about Baptism under fire...what a way to break in the new track than a wild race event.

In just one long weekend of racing, the Show-Me is looking better :)







Just a couple hard races with natural rubber foams from the Bensenville Bomber Supermods and a few good Bombers.

Aren't the urethanes going to clean it off again?

No, not really.



Shot of the old track. 4+ years running PG's. Rubber is worn in and takes many, MANY miles to clean off. And no matter if it does, the small grooves in the paint get filled and they last a lifetime.

And when you run a variety of tire blends, it really makes no difference. What gets picked up gets put back down eventually.

I've read for years, the opinion that you can not mix certain kinds of tires. I have not found it to be true. We have urethanes, silicones, foams, natural rubber, and whatever comes on stock 1/32 cars running together on our track with no ill effects. The surface was at some point, flat latex. After 6 years of running, it still has some embedded rubber as mentioned above, even after being scrubbed down with cleaner.
