Very nice Dave, it will look great in the 100 Anniversary Indy Proxy.
I am familiar with the torsion chassis. I have referred to mine as Don-flex chassis as a club mate Don, TF1250, builds cars that way. My GT40 for the F/F proxy had a version of it, but I built it way too heavy and replaced it with a podded chassis instead.
I remember a contestant in the Sprite Proxy on SCI made a chassis that was similar, but the front and rear parts were held by a single piece of piano wire soldered tight at both ends. The actual torsion of the wire allowed the car to flex. It seemed to work well.
I like your Halibrand inserts for your Indy car. I made a set by cutting down the plastic wheels from a Rev/Mo Daytona Cobra coupe. They will be good for my Paxton Turbocar, but I am also cutting a set from a Fly Chevron for the Lotus Turbo, as they are closer. What size are the wheels for those Halibrands? Do you have some for sale?
I finally ordered my Indycals for both turbine cars, so I just need to get up the courage to wreck, err, apply them and those cars will be ready to race.
Cheers,
Keith
