Last weekend at SCC A friend picked this car up for his girl friend to race. Well anyway some one didn't like the car. So we talked a while and I ended up trading a Scalextric Jag GT1 for it. Now later in the wek I look the car up online to see what the real car looked like.
During the 2011 season Chevrolet was able to capture the manufacturers’ championship. Katech Motorsports Chevrolet LS3 engines led a total of 596 out of 1802 laps throughout the season.
Looks like I need to do a lot of lowering to this car to get it down where it should be. Just took the car apart to lower the chassis first. Wheels, tires, and gears in the trash

They do require some lowering. I bought one a while back but thought it set up too high. So I lowered mine, put some SCC CB Design wheels on it. :)

Looks good, Car does need the red wheels.
I picked up some 17 inch CD incert wheels from SCC and just painted some Slot-it incerts red, replaced the guide with a slot-it guide, cut the front splitter off the chassis and glued it onto the body, cut well over 1/8 inch off body post and light holder post. Set the front wheels so they go inside the front fenders. truned front and rear tires with the Huny tire truer, fronts yellow dogs and the rear super tires

I painted the wheels with Tamiya clear red. It just took several light coats to get them the right color. I think mine just has the regular Slot It. zero grips on the front, ans Slot It. S-2's on the rear. :)

Austin brought the Camaro to the shop, so we took a couple comparison pictures...





It does run a LOT better than stock, especially after he put one of those 550hp motors from the video above in it !! :banana-rock:

I must be getting old. :? I just looked at the pic I posted and the wheels on mine aren't CB Design, they're Sloting Plus Americas, sorry Dickie, Steve. :oops:

This car was very fun to race. It will still flip if I enter the sharp turns to fast. Looks super nice on the track and adding a little more weight under the chassis Or rear tires to slide just a little bit more this car will be one that is hard to beat. 17 x 10 on the rear now thinking about trying 17 x 8 next week
