Another pattern....Huffaker Genie

Hi all,
another pattern, for Charles Lawrence. A Huffaker Genie Mk 8 done from Charles' excellent drawings.
Currently being produced in resin.
1/32nd scale

Hello, I was lucky enough to get one of the Genie Mk VIII kits from Charles. Here are some pictures of the kit.





I have not started on this build yet. But other than some work around the wheel arches there is very little clean up. The real car was modified for just about every race. A Sebring chassis is a perfect fit. Will probably down size the motor to use one with less rpm's. A number of years ago Charles did a real nice kit of a Cunningham CR-4. His work and attention to detail is amazing. Regards, John

Hi John, so glad you're pleased with the model. Looks like Charles packs them nicely.
They are moulded by Steve Francis in London, who did all the FPF Models and does some of his own too. He'll also be doing the SMK models.
I am honoured to be asked to do patterns for Charles as I know he is a leading light in West Coast slot racing, although he is far too much of a gentleman to actually tell me that. I learned it from an old friend in West London who has had dealings with Charles for many years.

That blue and silver car is the one I used for reference when making the pattern.

I'm working on a new model for him currently.....watch this space.
