Has anyone ever used one of these or can think of a scratch building application for it?

Red I have one of these, a Christmas gift.
I have used it to repair guide holders and to seal bushings in place.
It is like an epoxy cured with an ultra violet light.
Anywhere you would use glue or epoxy , it will work, as long as the light gets to it.
It can be built up in layers too for added strength.
I used it to hold my ferrules and motor wire in place on the guide too.
But there are other things on the market too some less costly.
I dont have any negatives against it that I've found.

It looks good to me. And it costs $20 on Amazon, so I predict a lot of them are going to get "try outs" in the next few weeks. I have been bitterly disappointed in glues for years. Ever since model airplane glue became so weak it isn't worth trying. It reminds me of that incredible glue that dentists use that cures in UV light without making any fumes or leftovers in your mouth.

We used ultra-violet glue building fiber optic cable connectors. Since sunlight contains ultra violet
you couldn't use it outside. Bright light does not set the glue too quickly ????

For some reason I got more of the fumes from doping when I did a fuselage than any of the rest of the airplane. Never understood that. I sure used a lot more on the wing. My mother hated the stink I brought into the house building balsa planes, but she said it was better than the stink of all those turtles, lizards and tadpoles I brought home to live in my bedroom when I was younger. My folks drew the line when I adopted a baby raccoon. Teeth like razors, and a natural thief- he drove them crazy.

Old model airplane glue was a different formula than the sanitized version of today, which was made not to work with newer styrene compounds, but to make it useless to idiots who wanted to get high by sniffing it from a bag. Ever since then it has sucked. I wonder if the newer compounds of plastic came about because of that- tail wagging the dog, etc.
