Fast & Furious Jensen Interceptor in 1/32?

Postby red73mustang » Tue Aug 25, 2015 9:44 am

Pretty sure this one is so obscure that it was never made as a model kit or slot car (1/43nd not withstanding), but I love movie cars and I love obscure cars so this one is high on my list. With all the 3D stuff going on someone might be able to pull this off in 1/32 scale. :text-thankyouyellow:

If anyone with skills wants to cast one put me on the list. Interceptors are awesome cars, originally equipped with Chrysler 383's for those not familiar with Jensens.

There's a white metal model kit out there, but I don't know what scale.

By coincidence, I had a 383 Commando police interceptor version once upon a time. In a '67 Plymouth Fury III, which I discovered later had been a cop car for four years before I got it.

Most of what I found was in 1/43 scale and dicast. That's why we may need to scan one of the smaller ones and then enlarge it. Way out of my pay grade for now!

I was pretty sure that Choc-ice showed one he had the 3d drawing for when he was looking for ideas.
Maybe a shout out might spur him on a bit.

Now that would be something. I never saw the car in Fast and Furious. Which one was it in?

I presently own two red 74 Jensen Healeys and have owned a Jensen Interceptor convertible in the past. Never really like the hard top but the convertible which came with the Chrysler 440 in it was a great car; wish I still had it. They were way ahead of their time.

The Healey has a dual overhead cam, four valve head, all aluminum Lotus motor in it. For its size it puts out a lot of horsepower and with a little work puts out even more. Still one of the winningest cars in SCCA history. Now that's a car I would Like to see made. Huffaker racing still has the one that won multiple road racing championships. It was driven most recently just a couple of years ago by Bruce Qvale of Trans Am fame. His dad, Qvell was the original importer of the Jensens in San Francisco.

Good Luck, and put me in for one if it gets made. I'll figure out how to chop the top off and make it a convertible. :banana-dance:

Was waiting for the name Choc-ice to be brought up............... Consider this an official request for the Jensen Interceptor!

Yes, it was one that I considered a little while ago. For the moment the difference between "You should make it" and "Here's the money for it" is about 15:1 so I can't afford to make any others right now.
