ROAR - Race 3 on Mark's Model World - UK Black - Results!

In order to provide the greatest diversity in qualifying on the road course, we ran the qualifying session in the white and purple lanes. (white is one lane in from the outside lane, purple is one lane in from the extreme inside lane.)

Qualifying!
Putting the cars through their paces in an attempt to get the most out of them were:
White lane - myself
Purple lane - APalmer

Format:
- Cars were run in reverse numerical order (opposite of the qualifying on the oval) - starting with car 89 and concluding with car 1.
- Prior to qualifying, tires were cleaned with tape, braids were check and a light drop of oil applied to the rear bushings of each car.
- Cars were rung out over a 10 lap dash in each lane
- Best lap time in each lane recorded and the values averaged to determine starting position in the grid

Great pics and coverage of the quails on the road course, Todd! The video was awesome! Made me think of the late Harry Nilsson's song "Everybody's Talkin'", where he sings: "...banking off of the Northeast wind........"

My cars seem to be slipping a bit. Perhaps my gearing will fare better on the shorter tracks....maybe not!! :pray:

John - the drive-ability of some of the faster qualifiers, makes them a bit of a handful in "race" mode. My #89 car is a prime example of that - it qualified 4th as it has allllll sorts of top end - but it is tippy if pushed through the corners - making it a something that the individual drivers actually had to drive slower to keep from loosing time due to deslots. And as a bit of a preview, I can tell you my #89 did not finish anywhere near where it qualified... :doh:
