Just saw this on the news feed. A bit large at 1/18 scale though.

Thats nice and clean Dave.
it actually looks like a better setup than the original Hornby design which just had a skid on the front instead of the wheel.
It should make the Dragon dance lol

That thing is cool!! I've wanted the Scalextric one forever but they are just too expensive for my taste.

Dave that is pretty cool! I had a similar "stuttering" problem with the red Bugeye I just did....I used the stock 1/43 Artin guide pin and braids on that one. All I did was "fan" the ends of the braids a little more and it seemed to solve the problem.

Dave that looks great! If you decide to keep with the pin, I found on the midgets, that if I moved the pin to the rear of the braid where it contacts the track, it keeps the whole contact area in a circle rather than a lever. it allowed more sliding In the corners without power loss. just a thought.

Dave I had a look on gooogle at vintage sidecar racers and it appears most were spoked inserts.
As they advanced 2 things happened, The wheels started to have dish covers, and the body work covered most of the wheel. Likely a safety feature to stop people putting sports cards and clothes pins into the spokes for that great sound it used to make lol.

Dave, you have some 1/43 wheels headed your way that have spokes.
might work great.
