Peter, I don't quite know how to broach this subject, but at risk of unleashing all kinds of prejudgements,I've just realised what is the omission that has bugged me since you started the workshop.

Every garage of "character" that I have ever visited has had at least one rather well-thumbed (frequently oily), pin-up calendar from one or other trade supplier, nailed to the wall usually near the bench.

Now I wasn't around in the pre-war era, but they must have had these then - even if they weren't quite as medically detailed as some of today's offerings!

Or maybe I just frequent a not-very -nice kind of garage. :D

Quite right. I actually did look for one and couldn't find one of the period that wasn't clad from ankle to lobe. Perhaps just as well as this is a family forum.
