What kind of men are they that they have to read the manuals?

Nice shot and the manuals are excellent.

BTW - have you ever mentioned where you got or how you made all the metal cans for oil and gas? Those are great!

They can't read. They just look at the pictures.

Some of the cans are small blocks of wood wrapped with a printed label and some are pieces from Tamiya kits.

This is just stunning work! Unfortunately, starting with the 9 February post, instead of a picture; there is just the word 'IMAGE'. Dragging over it doesn't look like it can be clicked on to view the picture...suspect some issue with the net.

Again, your work is amazing. Thank you for sharing it.

It appears to be a server issue with my ISP

I always hope to inspire, but intimidating - no. Just one step at a time.

The 'intimidating' had no pejorative intent...just sort of how it felt to view the detailed ship models at the Mariner's Museum in Newport News. The rearrange-ability sounds like it's a slot builder's Japanese garden.

No, but that's a great idea. I think you're looking at the oil puddle under the engine.

Without question, this is my favorite thread on the entire forum . . . and that is saying quite a lot, given how many outstanding posts there are! This diorama has the power to transport me to another time and place. When I see the images, it's like I'm standing there in the garage, looking over the shoulders of the men working on the cars. It really is an exceptional work that brings together slot cars, the art of diorama construction, and atmospheric photography. Just great, great work!

Thank you,
Rick V.
