I used to use Testors putty, but the last few tubes of it that I have bought had separated and was useless. I guess it does not like sitting on the shelf too long before it is sold. I will have to look for Tamiya or Squadron putty. There is only one real hobby shop left in my area, I would hate to have to order just a tube of putty.

If it is structural, spans some distance, or in a critical location. I use JB Weld and follow up if necessary with White Putty to finish the final contour. If it is simply filling a minor blem the White Putty is my favorite.

I will add my vote for Tamiya Epoxy Putty. Sets very slowly and can be sculpted after a few hours then left overnight and sanded.

If it is not structural and you want the modelling equivalent of "Bondo" to fill in some imperfections use Tamiya Putty. It is only one part and a bit more "runny"

Hi Mark:

I was wondering if that was the car you were working on. I'm looking forward to seeing it finished. I was going to say that baking soda with CA makes a gap filling CA. It also sets immediately as the baking soda acts as a catalyst to the CA. I would rub some soda in the void and drop the CA on it to fill. You can repeat if necessary, and if the void is at a structurally needy place, it will glue it together as well.
