Jeremy, you are not going to believe this...
When I lived in Waco, TX, I learned that Dr Pepper was invented by a local pharmacist as a cure for alcoholism, much like Graham crackers and some other products. There is a Dr Pepper Museum in Waco, and the original drink (very different and much better), is still made at the original contract factory in Iredell, some miles away. Those folks at the museum will get you anything you want. They live for the phone call to do something. Very enthusiastic. Finding out you are a fan will make their day.
One more thing-- that color is a match to a boiler paint color for marine engines. Detroit Diesel reproduced it for their marine diesels. I used it once on a Hudson. It goes on darker than what you want, but cures just right. It has ceramic particles in it for heat dissipation, so go easy and very light coats.
