HO Proxy - racing results are in!

The HO proxy cars have made their way from New Hampshire to Ohio in good order! :dance:

Pictures of the entrants will be following shortly. The first race will be held at Mark's Model World on the custom routed wood 4 lane track


This race will be followed with racing at Route 93 Raceway, on hopefully both, the 4 lane TKO track and 4 lane Wizzard tracks :)

In addition to the three Super Stock AutoWorld cars, Austin was nice enough to send along his DASH chassis, resin sedan, FRAY build! It will be interesting to see how it runs against my FRAY car!

Qualifying of the HO Proxy cars at Mark's Model World has been completed and I have to say - there are some FUN cars in this group!
DEFINITELY looking forward to the racing portion!!!

Qualifying was performed on the White and Blue lanes with ten laps being run on each after running the each of the cars a couple laps to warm them up. The best time from each lane was used as the qualifying time for that lane.
Driving duties were handled by:
White lane - Slot Therapist
Blue lane - local racer Joe Schmucker

Time for some results! :D

Racing commenced this last Wednesday on the large road course at Mark's Model World.
Racing format was two minutes per lane, straight through rotation.
Driving goodness was handled by:
Yellow lane - myself
Blue lane - local racer Shaun Steed
White lane - local racer Tom Lynch
Red lane - HRW member APalmer

First off - Racing rigs!
The fun factor with the rigs definitely did not disappoint!













Next up was Stock T-jets!
The top two cars traded places lap after lap, with the Devon's Orange GTO pulling out the victory by a bit over 2' at the end of 8 minutes / 4 lanes of racing - definitely a great battle!

As noted previously, Austin was nice enough to send along his FRAY car for some exposition runs - it is listed as the fourth place finisher, just to keep things straight - but was a great runner that definitely held it's own against the cars with the faster three lam armatures!

After some delays with the holidays and available drivers, we were able to get in the qualifying at the next venue (Route 93 Raceway) completed.
New posting with the qualifying results to follow - but as a teaser in the mean time - here is a shot of the track: :D

Something cool on the HO front as well - from what I understand - Route 93 Raceway has a new track that they are planning to have installed in the next two weeks - just in time to finish up the run on the track shown above! :D
Should make for some cool variety!
