Way cool Rusty!

I love the old tycopro stuff!

That is what I grew up with and have been collecting as I find them.

So what else Ho did you acquire recently?

Did you get all that tcr stuff from Ol Mike?

Hey Wayne, yes Sir we did a little trading.I already had a 90's TYCO TCR set coming in with some cars. Was looking at the track he had as it will match up with the later TCR.Been having some fun trying to get it all working. The earlier Command control stuff is cool but they have issues as they did when they came out.The rear gears ,after all of these years don't hold up .If i can find some replacements I may be able to get them running better.
It is kinda cool setting up a couple of jam cars and trying to get around them with the later TCR.
The system was never perfect either, but it can be fun.
Now I'm kinda missing those stockers..They do look great on your layout though!
Thanks
Rusty

I was just getting into AFX when Tyco started the white boots stuff. The white boots were very sticky silicone tires -- fantastic, until they saw a speck of dust. I only had a couple of these cars, but my favorite runner was the black and white hotrod on the second row of that flyer. Ridiculously fast, and it had what was basically a 'slide guide' and a brass plate underneath.

AFX was the car of choice at the time, but with the right tires, those Tyco cars would have driven much more like the modern 1:32 cars.

I had all AFX stuff as a kid. Never had any of the Tyco cars. Not sure if they weren't available around here or what?!
