Rock polisher for brass

I'm not planning on paint. Maybe oxidize it black with copper carbonate. But the shiny brass is too pretty to hide it.

Rob, I'd refer to chassis of this design as a "transitional chassis." I first saw them on the old scratchbuilt.com website. Do you recall the approximate time you would have run this design?

It must have been the late 60s. I found it while packing up my parents' house a few years ago when they moved. I remember that the motor/drive axle mount was a commercial piece bought at a hobby shop, but I think I had it a long time before I used it. I don't think it ever had a body.

I have a Thumblers tumbler but haven't found a media yet .

Personally, I use a Thumlers AR-12 tumbler with ceramic media and soap from Buffalo Arms: http://www.buffaloarms.com/Detail.aspx? ... TERM=Media.

Thanks for the links guys. I have a old brass 1/24th scale slot car I wanted to clean up. Glad I did not get rid of the tumbler during the last move.
