Mike, Life-Like Made (past tense) very good, well built, and fast(Especially the ones with Neo magnets) slot cars. But their sets suffered from limited track selection, especially in the Curves dept which is very limited. But, Life-Life is OUT of the SlotCar business as of last year, they(Walthers is the parent Company) only make HO Trains now.

Ralph is right, it is a good set and the car runs good, if you wish to expend, you can find adaptator Life like to Tomy or Tyco and and it is the latest cie made slot car/train intersection in ho scale( you can see one in my friend layout)
