Super Glue Trick: Taking the play out of the bushings

I put the chassis on a test bed running a a good speed but not too fast and introduce the CA , one drop on the end of a toothpick. Not much surplus so it just gets sucked in by capillary action. Just keep it running until the speed note increases to the previous level.Then do the other side. I find whatever I do the glue sticks to the axle, Because if I remove the axle and slide the bushings I can see it.

Hadn't thought about cross cutting the bushings to remove some material in the process - sounds like something I will have to try! :D

Great minds think alike: I was wondering about cutting plastic bushings off axles yesterday.
On my wish list are split bronze bushing that one could put around the axle, then snap in the chassis to hold the two halves together.
