Adding lights to the SRC Capri

I thought I would add some lights to the SRC Capri.


Headlights (4 white LEDs)


Tail lights (2 Red LEDs)

The nailfile under the back allows me to keep the car stationary.

Looks nice running around the track.

Nice work, I have the LEDs I have the leads now all I need is making your own light kits 101

It's DIY - I bought 50 white and 50 red LEDs and some 680 ohm resistors.
I have more pictures of a Cheetah and the wiring of it that I can post later.

I'd also be interested in seeing how you wired the lights. I've stayed away from lighting some cars because, like this Capri, they had four lamps in front but most ready-made slot car lighting kits only have two headlights. Your DIY approach sure beats having to sacrifice the rear lights for four fronts.

Thank Jeremy - I need to get some diodes - I have visions of putting a Cap in the circuit (someone even sent me a circuit with working brake lights) but I can't read electrical diagrams - :lol:

might be easy to make a circuit that doesn't have the lights stay on
